EE&A is frequently involved in estate and trust matters, and over the years has acquired significant expertise in this area of law.
For example, EE&A represented a large polygamous family whose benefactor died intestate, leaving an estate worth over two billion Naira (N2,000,000,000). We were briefed on this matter after it had been in Court for eleven years. We were able to convince all parties involved to settle out-of-court, and we played a significant role in persuading the Office of the Public Trustee and Administrator-General to settle the estate amicably. Our brief also included the management of the dissolution of the estate thereafter.
At EE&A, we provide lifetime and post-death estate and tax planning for individuals and their families. To advance client’s estate planning objectives, we make recommendations based on a comprehensive review of the family’s assets and general situation and the personal desires of our clients. Our work involves the preparation of documents such as Wills and Trust Deeds designed to preserve the client’s wealth and to provide for its eventual disposition.
