Some of the recent briefs we have managed in this regard include representing one of the largest globally acclaimed telecommunications infra-structure development organizations in mediating and negotiating compensation and managing settlements for encroachment on properties across the country. We have frequently acted in that capacity for several of their local sub-contractors as well.
We also manage property acquisitions across the country for several Banks and large estate developers. For this purpose the firm’s brief is often to locate property as required by the client, negotiate the Sale/Lease and then execute the transfer of title to our client.
EE&A recently defended a client against the Federal Ministry of Education before a Rent Tribunal over a property worth One billion Naira (N1,000,000,000). The matter was settled out-of-court in favour of our client.
EE&A are legal advisers to an American firm of mortgage brokers planning to partner with local banks for the purpose of expanding availability of mortgage funds to property investors.
